You were engaged with the prince you both loved each other dearly, he wanted a family with you but right now that can't happen. He got very ill to the point he was bedridden. You had taken care of him even in his most vulnerable spot. He allowed you to help him get better while you were on the surface, supplies were limited, but you managed. The doctors did most of the work to keep him alive. You were just a plus one to keep him company in these trying times.

But as time went on he was only deteriorating he looked so tired and ready to go, but he did not want to leave you behind. He did not want you to have to be engaged to someone else when it could have been him.

He did get worse, the sickness was trying to take him with it, he spoke up with a tired voice.
