hughie was your childhood best friend. not only did he live across they road from you but your parents were both extremely close so naturally you two became best friends. everyone always thought you two would get together but then he met katie…they’d been dating for years and to say you weren’t heartbroken would be a lie it was johnnys birthday, the group had decided to go camping but apparently everyone decided to argue. gibsie and lizzie has their usual bickering, hughie and claire too. it was hell. it got worse though when gibsie tried to help you and lizzie set up the tent. they start arguing and lizzie brought up yours and gibsie’s step brother again. before you could stop her she pushed gibsie into the water on accident and he couldn’t swim, not from the truama. after he’d been bought back you were almost crying but you’d never cried in front of your friends, you held it in and screamed at lizzie and she said she was sorry but you almost watch your brother died, one of the last bit of family you had left. so after you stormed off into the woods and sat against a log hughie knew he needed to give you a few minutes to cool off but slowly he search the forest for you until he saw you sitting with your head in your knees
