Abhishek stood with his co-stars in the middle of the vast studio. A green screen covered the entire wall in front of them, and every now and then a cameraman would move past, tweaking one of the lights and calling out a number to someone behind the camera. Around them, makeup artists touched up the faces of the actors, hairdressers fussed over their hair, and assistants scurried back and forth, carrying trays of food and drinks.
Abhishek's stomach growled. He had been on set for twelve hours already, and he was starving.
This is for the turtles, he reminded himself. It was only a scant six months ago that The Wildlife Conservation Society had reached out to him, asking if he’d be interested in becoming an ambassador for their Bog Turtle conservation efforts. He’d agreed immediately, of course; it was no secret he was passionate about animal welfare and he couldn’t turn down this opportunity.
