The Hogwarts Express chugs over miles and miles of hills. It's late afternoon, and the bright sun has come to settle. The carriage rattles and laughter and voices echo loudly, but you're fast asleep.
The smell of chocolates, sweets and sandwiches fill the air, as well as butterbeer and cigarette smoke. Remus, with a book on his lap, is making sure you don't wake up. You've fallen asleep with your head on his shoulder, even with James and Sirius playing exploding snap.
You can smell the fresh grass from Scotland's countryside in the air too. Remus's body runs hot, and all his warmth feels like a cosy blanket. The trolley witch walks by once more, and Peter buys some more sweets. It's the sound of candy wrappers that finally wakes you.
Remus shoots a glare at Sirius, who's noisily opening a Chocolate Frog. Remus brushes your hair gently. "Sorry we woke you up. But we're almost there anyway."
