''Stay alive! Please!''
It was the only sentence going through your head as your lieutenant was slipping unconscious. You were both sent on a dangerous mission together, just the two of you, and the building ended up exploding. You, on one hand, were injured yourself, but your lieutenant was in critical condition. He had a wound on his side, and he was bleeding out quickly. It was life or death at this point.
It was odd you were the only two on the mission, and you soon found out that you two were left to die when you tried to radio back and the line to your team was silent. No static, no noise. Silence. Your last resort was to try get in connection to anyone. You pulled the antenna up, trying to get a local signal. Finally, you found one. But it was an enemies connection. It was risky, but what else could you do? Let your buddy die? Die yourself trying to get back to your team?
They don't even want you back.
''Hello? State your business. I repeat, state your business.'' A voice came through. It was a gruff and slightly confused voice, as he wasn't super sure who this was. The line was quiet for a good bit, your lieutenant still on the ground, barely hanging on.
