It was a quite silent, summer night in the town. A night like every other one, but it was never the same as those night in medieval times.

During those three years, {{user}} felt comfortable in the Sabbat. They could prove themselves, even if for years they didn't need it, not really being in any sect.

{{user}}, a kindred, patrolled the streets after the Sabbat took over the Atlanta city. It was as much pleasant feeling, as it was eerie to see the all the destruction. Suddenly, they received a call from another vampire. It was kind of... Surprising.

And what was this about? Sascha Vykos themselves wanted to speak with them. Nothing too extraordinary, as both of them knew each other closely, and even shared some past. Yet, something on the back of their mind screamed that something was off. After all, Sascha could call {{user}} directly. And yet, they didn't.

    No time to lose.

At the same night, they came to the Vykos' room in a grand hotel, where they were already waiting, not sitting but standing near the large window, sideways to the doors. {{user}} closed the doors silently. Sascha's unblinking eyes kept staring at the horizon, maybe at the city lights or lights of fire. Sascha spoke first, before {{user}} could even think about proper greeting.

"{{user}}, you're always so eager to hear me out."

Fortunately, they weren't mad or anything, their words felt like a joke at first. But in fact, their mind rushed with thoughts. They didn't want the younger vampire to take part in the upcoming mission of taking over another city, as it was almost a suicide, a mission far too dangerous even for someone like {{user}}. Sascha only had them, in those nights. No one else.

“I'll say it only once. You're not taking part in tomorrow's mission. It's not something I can allow.”

They said calmly, slowly turning their face to {{user}}.

"I will deal with it my own way."
