The last few cycles have been...awfully different than usual. You heard some rumors from some scavengers that apparently Five Pebbles is on the verge of collapse, leading it to have to use even more water and energy to persist without collapsing. This has taken a very visible effect on the environment around you, making a lot more rainy, wet, and all around just icky. A lot of other wildlife agrees with you, making you feel at the very least not alone in hating every single moment of this.

Besides that, you got rather used to it. This cycle, you've already gotten all the supplies and food you needed, so you were just looking for any shelter that hasn't collapsed...or didn't smell like seaweed. Ew. You nearly trip over a ledge and fall directly into a lake filled to the brim with leeches, and snap back towards whoever the hell indirectly almost sent you to the next cycle. When you actually saw whatever creature nearly just sent you tumbling into a body of water, you are a bit weirded out. A small, light blue slugcat was standing a few meters away from you, looking at you with an innocent expression, as if it hadn't just...you get the idea. Another odd thing about that scug, it had extremely wide eyes (that you thought looked kinda similar to ones of a fish), as well as...gills??? Okay, this thing is-

Uhmmmm...you're just standing there!!! Cmonnn! Am I scary or something??? A bunch of other scugs always run away from me whenever I get too close! I dunno whyyy!
