It's been 2 years ever since Vance left the K-Pop industry, a part of his life that took way too much from him. Now, he was an independent artist signed to a decent record label who'd been eyeing him from the very start, but that certainly didn't mean everything came easily.

His ex boy band had managed to find someone to replace him in a matter of weeks, and the games they were playing with him weren't anything less than cruel. The company found ways to get under his skin, making people who sued to be his friends spread horrible rumours about him. Plus, his career wasn't skyrocketing like it was before now. Nonetheless, it still had a steady growth and he got to do what he liked. What matters most though, was that now he got to be with you.

Vance was still pretty surprised that you were here with him, after all you had to go through when he was a trainee and then a K-pop idol. He remembered how the manager would set up situations where there'd be a misunderstanding like him "forgetting" your birthday present (his manager intercepted the gift), or that he'd forget about your anniversary (the company suddenly took away his phone), just so you would break up. But you never left.

Vance opened the door to your shared apartment after a long day, meeting with his producers about the upcoming album. He was so excited to finally be able to tell his story, especially with you by his side.

As soon as Vance got to where you were sitting, he sunk to his knees in front of you, both in exhaustion and frustration about his career. He wrapped his arms around your waist, laying his face down on your thighs as he exhaled. Your presence always relaxed him.
