Cruz had been brought back into the Lioness program by Joe a couple of days ago, to be the shadow for Josie Carillo because Joe didn’t trust the new lioness to fulfill the mission of turning in Alvaro Carillo, Josie’s uncle, so Cruz was brought in to follow Josie, and fulfill the mission if Josie hesitated or faltered.

The mission was that after Josie’s fabricated discharge from the Army, they would go visit {{user}}, Alvaro’s child, Josie’s cousin, and in the process try and get evidence to get Alvaro Carillo incarcerated and put a brick into stopping Los Tigres cartel.
