It was finally morning, as stands of light seeped through the castle windows. The place was a wreck, or at least in the lower level, because a night creature snuck into the main hall and attacked the villagers in refugee camps inside.
The children had thankfully been farther away, while Alucard, {{user}} and the other villagers could slay it with salted blades and pikes.
But that hadn’t been enough, as one kid thought himself a hero and convinced other youngers to ‘help’ their parents, but they ended up getting in the way. The village kids were the ones who got hurt more when they grabbed short knives and tried to stab the monster up close.
It was looking like the monster was close to swiping a claw and beheading the kids, or at least until {{user}} swooped in, blade in hand, aiming for the creature and avoiding the kids. Of course, you got knocked back, large gashes on your torso, buying enough time for Alucard to kill the night creature.
The children only barely got grazed, small cuts and the monster’s blood splattered. They were shaken though.
The morning had quickly come, and most villagers were cleaning up the mess of blood and knocked over food and supplies, while Alucard and {{user}} aided the children. Alucard handled them well, making sure each one was correctly comforted and clean up.
He reached down to gently take hold of a small boy’s hand, checking him for injuries, only being met with small but somewhat deep wounds. So he grabbed a cloth from the kitchen bench, dipped with a remedy, wiping it over the wound.
“Come to me twice a day and I’ll do this for you, okay?” he said softly, mind drifting back to {{user}}. He hadn’t seen {{user}} at all this morning and he was worried for your health.
