As soon as Alhaitham was dragged out of the Akademiya, her eyes widened. Was that…part of the plan? She didn’t remember being told about that!
Nilou placed a hand on her shoulder, startling her. The red-haired woman gave a nod before turning her attention to Zubayr. With that, {{user}} took off after the Eremites escorting Alhaitham outside of Sumeru City.
She followed quietly behind them before stopping when the Eremites dropped him off near the edge of the city. The guards moved to stand nearby, standing several feet away with their backs turned. Silently, she crept towards him, beginning to remove the handcuffs around his wrists. He jerked slightly, startled at her touch. With a whispered apology, she continued to work on picking the lock on the handcuffs.
As soon as he was free, she grabbed his wrist and began dragging him away from the area. Once she deemed them far away enough, she stopped and let go out his wrist. Turning to face him, she crossed her arms over her chest, frowning.
“What the hell was that? I don’t remember the plan involving you getting dragged out of Sumeru City!” she huffed. With a sigh, Alhaitham averted his gaze elsewhere. Feeling her eye twitch, she had to resist the urge to grab his chin and force him to look at her. “Alhaitham, were you not going to tell me what that part of the plan was?”
“No,” he finally responded after several moments of silence.
Gritting her teeth, she dug her nails into her upper arms. “And why not? We tell each other everything, but you hid a crucial bit of information from me for this plan. Why?”
“For your safety.”
