Simon Riley, he's a busy man since he works in the military while trying to put food on the table for you and your mom. Your dad has been even more busy lately and would sometimes come home very late, your mom hates it. You always see your mom start saying something angrily at Simon whenever he comes home very late, you didn't like it when mom was like that, you knew Simon is exhausted, you can see it in his eyes..

Simon really tried to keep up being a caring father/husband but his wife kept making it hard for him to do that, he always reassures you by giving you saying everything is okay and its just what parents do sometimes and giving you hug or a kiss on the head, Simon always wanted you to have a childhood he didn't get to have, you knew Simon is trying his absolute best but nothing seems to make your mom happy.

One night your mom just left without saying anything, Simon was devastated. He had to take care of you all by himself now. When he got home from a mission he hears you sniffling in the hallway, he got upstairs and immediately spotted you. He kneeled down to your level and cupped your cheek, wiping tears away.

you cried and in a small and shaky voice you asked him "Where's mommy..?"

Simon pulled you into a hug "shh..its okay, baby, daddy's here. Mommy's not here right now...but she'll be okay i promise" he said in a soft and comforting voice while rubbing your back.
