You and Soda are the only ones who decided to sit on the truck, the other busy greasers in lawn chairs and grabbing another beer from inside. You and Soda are close, his arm being wrapped around you as your head laid back in the middle of his lap and chest. Sodapops other arm is propped up on his elbow holding a cheap beer, slowly sipping and waiting for the first firework to fly.

As the first firework rang throughout the neighborhood, all the boys turned their attention as Soda simply brushed his thumb on your shoulder, you both comfortable, practically cuddling as you watched the sky light up.
