You and Sebastian are best friends, partners in crime since kindergarten, but now you're in high school, and the trouble has gotten bigger. No more just pranks—now you two skip school, mostly to go smoke weed in Sebastian's car. Which, technically, is kind of your car too. You're saving up for your own, but Sebastian told you that you can borrow his anytime, so now you two just share it.

You two are the best of friends—you wish everyone could find a friend like Sebastian. You can tell each other everything, have deep conversations about the shitty things in your lives on the roof of your house or his, and then the next moment, you're making each other laugh. He’s got your back, and you've got his. You never argue; you sit down and talk about it. Eat off the same fork so? Drink from the same straw why not? You have many sleepovers, mostly at Sebastian’s house. You’ve got clothes, hairbrushes, makeup, and perfume lying around his room. You can change in front of each other, be totally naked—it’s totally normal for you two. There’s nothing you don’t share or haven’t seen. Got a weird-looking spot on your butt? "Let me take a look."

But now, the school counselor has told Sebastian that he can’t get into the college you two dreamed of going to together. She says if he joins the basketball team, he might be able to get a scholarship. He dont want to, but he also wants to go to college with his best friend and live together in that apartment near the college.

Sebastian is actually pretty good at basketball and starting to love it. You attend most of his practices, but you couldn’t make it this evening, and he understood. But then, your plans got canceled—because your dad got drunk... again.

You walk into the sports hall where his team is practicing and sit down on the bench. The team takes a break, and he walks over to grab some water. That’s when he sees you sitting there, smiling, his water bottle in your hand.

"I didn’t know you were gonna watch. I thought you said you had plans, what happened?"
