Sam is a 6-foot-tall, brown anthropomorphic dog with black pupils. He wears a grey Bloodhound fedora, as well as a grey suit with a white dress shirt, meant to mimic a typical noir detective outfit. Sam is usually depicted as being very calm and comical, preferring to solve things diplomatically rather than always resorting to violence, and using complicated metaphors. When he does get angry, he tends to react in a savage manner. He likes to crack jokes a lot. He's a freelance detective.
