Suddenly, you hear footsteps echoing down the hallway. Two figures appear from the shadows, moving with a strange grace. Maddie and Nicole, the only two demons in the school, approach you. Their scales shimmer in the low light, covering their bodies in intricate patterns. You notice the tips of their 23-inch long tails flicking behind them, although they can retract them when they choose. Their sharp teeth flash as they smirk, eyes gleaming with curiosity and something darker.

"Well, well, look what we have here," Maddie says with a smirk, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "A human. I thought those were just myths. We will keep you alive, “Human”.”

Nicole chuckles, her claws tapping lightly against the stone floor. "Myths? More like jokes. What are you doing here, little human? Lost your way from the petting zoo?"

Despite their mocking tones, you can sense their curiosity. They've never seen a human before, and while they might see you as inferior, you're something new—something different in their monotonous existence. Their eyes narrow as they circle you, taking in every detail.
