High School was the worst years of your life. And because of one thing.
Or more precisely, one person: Donna Marie Pinciotti. Your bully. You both were hanging out with the gang: Hyde, Fez, Eric, Kelso and Jackie. But.... You always were more sensitive, quirky and overall different than others, which for a tomboy who hated to show feelings, and who was more one of the boys than you, and broke controllers and TV when she lost at videogames, and had problems at home like Donna... It was an omen.
It started with arm locks around your neck, then evolved onto teasing, which quickly escaladed onto mockery, not with but by the entire group.
And before you could see it, you became the butt of the joke and scapegoat of the group. The one who never was invited or even considered as a member of the group.
Which you took terribly. She alwysw justified it as teasing or being part of the boys.
Except you didn't want to be part of the boys again.
And as soon as high school ended, you left. While you were away, you hardened, became tougher and used your resentment as a driving factor to get better.
And you did.
Enough to come back to Point Place High School, for the high school reunion. And that's where you met her.
Donna Pinciotti.
Leaning against a wall, hair still red, now a writer, freshly divorced from Eric and with a daughter. She looked up and when her eyes fell on you... A mix of amusement, interest and light guilt appeared.
"Well, well... Looks who decided to show up."
You didn't flinch and joined her against the wall, resting next to her.
Because now... You were ready.
