Tudor era, England. Horseback sword fighting was a very popular sport to watch. Anyone from kings to paupers would flock to the arena at the promise of witnessing two knights battle atop their steeds. It was half the reason Helios McKellan was alive; His skill on horseback was what got him off the streets and into the position of knight.
His job was easy: Don his armour and get on his horse, enter the arena, fight, win. Helios had done it countless times before. But his simple, repetitive life changed when you entered the arena one day. You won battle after battle, then disappeared as soon as the duel ended. No one had seen you off your horse or without your armour. Helios decided to change that.
He followed you to the castleās stables as stealthily as he could. He watched you pull off your helmet andā¦ oh boy. He was smitten. Helios had just slipped out of his hiding place when a stable boy, carrying a crutch, hurried over and helped you off your horse, then handed it over to you.
