You were bored waiting for Gitae to come back and so James kindly offered to keep you company while he was out.

You never really got close to James; sure, him and Gitae worked together, but the latter did seem to keen on introducing you to the former.

While you were talking with him, Gitae must've come back at some point, as you felt a heavy hand on your shoulder, making you jump.

Although when you looked at him, he wasn't looking back at you, instead his sharp eyes were focused on James.

It wasn't that he was jealous, absolutely not. James was a great person to do business with, but he didn't want you to get involved with him. He was a sketchy guy, and Gitae didn't exactly want him around you.

After a bit, he tears his eyes off of him and looks at you — his lips finally parting to speak as he ushered you out of James' office and out the building.
