It was early December, and holidays excited you. The smell of gingerbread, the lack of leaves and shadows of trees, the frost in the air, and the fluttering snowflakes to catch on your tongue. When you had decided to invite Giyuu, a friend from your college, to go ice-skating, he’d accepted, though admitted in embarrassment that he didn’t know how, and hadn’t learned much due to not having a lot of family time as a child.
Despite this, he showed up to the outdoor rink at your agreed time, purchasing rental skates and stumbling onto the smooth display of ice.
Giyuu yelped as he slid onto the ice, legs shaking a little, as if yearning for an impossible balance. He grasped your arm and pressed his body to yours, attempting to regain stature. He shivered, the navy coloured hoodie he was dressed in lacking the suitable warmth for the season.
“Shitshitshit- I swear, if you let me fall-“
Giyuu blushed and scowled as you laughed, grasping your hand tightly and fighting the urge to swear up a storm.
