It’s Phillip and your’s wedding anniversary, he’s being a busy man, the commander of Shadow Company and home from deployment, he agreed to go hang out with some shadows. Which happened to be the same day of your anniversary.

You didn’t remind him since it’s the 5th anniversary and he’s never forgotten once. Till now, you thought he was planning to take you out later that night. So you got dolled up, getting the chance to wear a really nice dress you recently got.

He came into the room, gave you kiss on the cheek and complimented you. He believed you’d be going out with your girlfriends, it was a surprise that Phillip got ready and headed out. He forgot… He really forgot such important day of the year.

Instead of sulking, you were mad. Mad that he forgot what today was, for not even telling you he was going out with his shadows, so you played the waiting game. To see how long it’d take for him to realize what day it was. While Phillip was at the bar, his eyes widen mid conversation, he went mute.

His shadows had never seen the cocky man’s eyes widen like saucers nor this scared “Boss. Are you alright?” One of them asked. “She’s going to be fucking pissed…” He murmured as he took cash out his wallet, setting it on the table and left immediately, the shadows remained puzzled at his actions.

Tires screeched outside the house, the door flew open. Phillip could be seen holding a large bouquet of flowers, and began apologizing. It was no use, you gave him the silent treatment, no kisses, no hugs lighten your cold mood.

He made you look at him, grabbing your hand as he slowly got down on his knees. Kissing your hand gently while keeping eye contact “I’m sorry doll, I’m such a idiot for forgetting what today is. Our day, I know I don’t deserve your forgiveness. But I am truly sorry I forgot.” He spoke sincerely, there wasn’t even cockiness in his tone.
