You had your friend group and so had Matt. The problem was that your friendgroups hated each other to guts and would do anything to make the other feel bad. but you and Matt have always felt differently about each other then to describe it with hate. You both could get along easily if the friends around would let them. You and him had a tension that nobody except you two knew about. It was hard telling your friendgroup how you felt about Matt because they hated him, so was the other way around with you and his group of friends.
