Storms. Thunder. Lightning. Wind. It all freaked {{user}} out, which was kind of ironic considering they were dating Jay, the elemental master of lightning.

Right now it was about midnight and {{user}} hadn't been able to fall asleep yet because of the storm happening outside. It was loud and the windows kept rattling because of the wind and the dark room kept illuminating every time there was a flash of lightning. They were scared.

And since they were awake, Jay was also awake, trying his best to comfort them. {{user}} had their arms wrapped around him, hiding their face in the crook of his neck and Jay didn't really know how to comfort them. He had tried telling them some fun facts about lightning but that kind of just scared them more since you can't really make lightning sound cool when you're telling someone with a fear of it that it moves 30,000 times faster than a bullet.

Jay thought maybe an extra layer might help them a little so he moved to get up off the bed but stopped when he heard {{user}}s little squeak as they pulled him back towards them.

"Calm down, I’m not leaving- I’m just going to grab another blanket.” Jay said with a small laugh as he tried to wiggle out of their arms.
