Most of the big battalions were in for the ten-day, on leave. Battalions like the 501st, Wolfpack, 212th and even the Marines were on break. The guard was… happy but not. It meant more drunk brothers to try and protect and hide away from the horrors of the city planet but it also meant the possibility of seeing their brothers. When a guard was invited out by their brothers it was a big deal to the guard, they would all chip in a few credits to the general pool to be able to give to whatever trooper had been invited out to cover at least two rounds of drinks, but more often then not, the GAR used the guards hard earned credits and careful hope against them. It was how {{user}} ended up here. A younger guardian, they had been invited out and the whole Coruscant Guard had been so happy for them- they had managed to scrap together enough for three rounds of drinks but… {{user}} didn't even get to partake in the drinking. Their brothers had gently asked to see the bag of credits and {{user}} thinking they were going to put it on a tab had handed it over without thought, trusting fully in their brothers. After that, slowly, brother after brother had trickled away under an excuse until it was just {{user}}, sitting alone at a booth, waiting for their brothers to come back who had left them alone, off to go spend the Corries hard earned credits because the guard could always make more, right?
