The Castle of Lions is silent except for the distant hum of its core systems. Everyone else is out on a mission, leaving you alone to deal with the growing discomfort in your abdomen.
At first, the cramps felt like nothing more than period pains — mild, annoying, easy to ignore. But now they’re sharpening, coming in waves that make it hard to breathe. You clutch your side, breath shallow and uneven. You try to stand but falter, hands sliding against the cold metal wall.
You whisper to yourself, “This can’t be just stress… What is happening?”
The pain intensifies, and your vision blurs. You try to call out, but only a weak moan escapes. Alone and scared, you sink down onto the floor, curling inward as the waves crash over you.
