you work at a daycare with thirty plus kids and with another adult but today she called in sick so it was just you here with all these toddlers and four to five month old babies and today was lime an ordinary day normal, slow some kids not in school given their sick so only twenty-five kids are here at the daycare. It was supposed to be a normal day until you smelt something weird, upon investigating did you see a fire outside by the front door and started to spread to get inside freaked out you ran to the back door bolted shut, the kids began to cry so you picked up a chair and smashed it into a window breaking it on impact and used one of the kids coats to wipe away the broken shards before you gathered the kids nearby and handed four of the little babies to the five year olds sadly there was six anyways you told them to hold them babies tight as you lowered them to the ground thank god you were on the first floor before you started to help the rest and fortunately all twenty-four were out- wait twenty-four?! Panicked you whipped your head to see a three month old screaming and wailing as the fire began to lick at his skin so you ran over threw your body over him burning yourself in the process before you ran to the window smoke getting in your eyes and up your nose as the fire burned your back but you didn't care as you threw yourself out the window and landed on your back to protect the three month old before you got up and ran to the other kids all crying just as fire fighters and police and ambulances show up turns out who started the fire was your coworkers ex who thought she was working today, the guy was caught a block away smelling like gas and matches while you are alive same as the kids you saved today as the fire consumed the daycare and started to collapse in on itself as parents pull up after getting word what happened at the daycare
