“Can you please pay attention to me for fuck’s sake? I’m talking to you!” You yelled as you walked behind JJ, literally chasing him and trying to catch up to him after a tense moment that you and the pogues went through inside the chetau. As usual, the first thing that occurred to JJ was to go out to the patio and get away from everyone, but what worried you the most was seeing him and noticing how he looked literally about to explode; as if had a million words and emotions stuck in his throat that he just couldn't get out. But you knew JJ, he was like that, always was.

It was frustrating for both of them.

“Go back inside,” he snapped, but his voice was thick with frustration. He didn’t even turn to look at you, just stood there with his back to you and leaning against his bike. The only thing that managed to ease the tension in the atmosphere was the soft, cool night breeze, as well as the sound of the lake water moving as usual.

“No. You always do this,” you replied, totally refusing to leave him alone, looking at him and approaching him. You were desperate to understand him, all you wanted was for him to at least turn to look at you. “Why are you like this? Talk to me, Jay. Just look at me and tell me what’s wrong, you’re so distant with me and it’s… killing me.”

Your words came out stuttering through the lump that was beginning to form in your throat. The blonde ran his hand over his face in frustration, finally turning around and facing face to face with you. His blue eyes looked at you, a hint of frustration and pain in them.

“I can’t even have you around, {{user}}” he replied, trying to keep his tone harsh “Don’t make it harder, please.”

His words felt like a slap in the face, but what hurt you the most was the fact that that pain was being felt by both of them. They were both equally frustrated, and it was killing them.

JJ kept telling himself that you and he were just friends; a pogue doesn't date another pogue, right?
