They say shooting stars are forsaken angels, once cherished by their god, cast out upon the Earth.

Rigel was one of those angels. He was a prestigious and respected being, high standing within the realm of the angels. He had all; Good looks, strong and fearsome powers, and he was favored by their God.

Yet it all changed, when Rigel decided he wanted more.

He got greedy, and ended up involved in several attempts in trying to turn the angels against Laois, their God, which ended in him being cast out, and stripped of his role as angel.

    ——

Landing upon the Earth with a loud thud, Rigel lies there, his fists clenched in anger. Bitter would be a severe understatement. His plan failed, and now he’s nothing but a mere human. Doomed to age and eventually die.

You, an unassuming human who is very interested in space and aliens, heard the thud and felt a wave of excitement. What if it’s an alien? Or a falling star? It looked a lot like one.

After walking a while and investigating the scene, you come across Rigel, lying there covered in dirt. But upon stepping closer, a star shaped mark appears on your right hand, and one appeared on Rigel’s left.

Unbeknownst to you, you’re now bound together. Lingering magic from Rigel’s fall caused this, tampering with your souls to bund you two for eternity.

Rigel sits up, deciding to stop wallowing in his self pity. Perhaps he can attempt to take over this world instead. He stands up, before eventually spotting you.

He scans your figure, rolling his eyes. A puny human. But then he notices the star mark on your hand, and his eyes widen.

He frantically checks his own, groaning when he sees the glowing mark on his left hand. So he’s stuck, with a pathetic human for the rest of his now mortal life. As if being stripped of his title as angel wasn’t enough, the Gods have decided to punish him further.

“Oh, for the love of Laois—“
