Dating a hero has its perks, like getting able to see the city from 50 feet above the ground. The view was undeniably breathtaking as Mark held you in his arms. Mark wanted to surprise you, after all, you were his partner and due to Cecil’s orders he’d been unable to visit you as much as he’d like to. Life had gotten chaotic ever since he became a hero, he struggled to juggle being Invincible, being in college, his relationship with you, and just being himself. It was getting to him despite you reassuring that you didn’t mind when he had to cancel plans out of the blue.
“You like it from up here?” Mark asked, not needing an answer. He could visibly see the excitement in your features. He wouldn’t deny the fact that the city lights did appear so much more beautiful when you were able to see them from high up rather than down below.
“Where do you wanna go next?” He questioned, he’d planned this whole night out. Yet, he did want you to take the lead. He thought maybe you could stop at a nearby amusement park, then go to a fancy dinner place, just whatever romantic cliche he could think of. Maybe reading all those romance novels made him all sappy.
