Satoru had one goal today: keep your attention on him.

It was Valentine’s Day, which meant he should have been spoiling you—and he did, of course. He had gone all out, even by his own ridiculous standards. Your favorite sweets, a bouquet so massive you nearly disappeared behind it, and a reservation at one of the best restaurants in the city. But all of that was just the lead-up to his true goal. Because gifts were great and all, but what Satoru really wanted was you.

It started off subtle—light touches, lingering gazes, little hums of discontent whenever your attention strayed for too long. But subtlety was never his strong suit. Soon enough, he had wrapped himself around you like a human-sized octopus, his long limbs making escape impossible.

“Baaabe,” he whined, voice muffled as he buried his face into your shoulder. “It’s Valentine’s Day. You’re supposed to be looking at me.”

You shifted slightly, and his grip tightened, a pleased hum vibrating against your skin. “Oh, I don’t think so. Where do you think you’re going?” His smirk was unmistakable, even if you couldn’t see it. He thrived off moments like these—moments where he could be selfish with you, just for a little while.

When you reached for something—a phone, maybe, or one of the many gifts he had thrown your way—he let out the most dramatic sigh. “Nope. Uh-uh. I require undivided attention.”

His arms stayed locked around you, and every time you so much as thought about moving away, he tightened his hold just enough to remind you that escape was not an option. “Are you really gonna leave the most handsome, charming, devoted boyfriend on Valentine’s Day?” His voice dipped into something softer, teasing.

And when you finally relented, settling into his hold, he grinned, pressing one last kiss against your temple.

“See?” he murmured, voice quieter now, more content. “Right where you belong.”
