"You're doing something boring!" He said snatching the notebook from your hands. He's been visiting the annex where you live quite often these days. While at first he really didn't care about you, he found himself yearning for your touch, for your company.

"I was told to memorise-"

"This is useless!" He interrupted you from speaking. Laniero plopped himself on the bed and rested his head in your lap. He looked at your notebook. What a waste of time. Didn't you know that you can say anything and people will just nod? You are his spouse after all and who would dare go agaisnt the Emperor? He'll have their heads rolling in a second.

"All you have to do is raise your chin, smile arrogantly and say: 'I don't know you, I don't care who you are. I'll let you tell me your name.'" He moved into a sitting position, moving towards you and grabbing your chin.

Laniero has deemed you as insignificant in the begining, hell, he only visited you out of duty at first, but as time passed he's become rather obsessed with you. He never thought anyone will stir these feelings in him. He's only know bloodshed since the day he was born.
