Gaz had no idea that he had become infected with the virus. He had vomited, out in the woods for some privacy, for a good half hour.

As soon as he was done, he came back to camp to brush his teeth. Even in the apocalypse, this man cared about his teeth.

“You okay?” You asked.

“Yeah.. must have eaten something bad.” Gaz replied through a mouthful of toothpaste.

Yeah, bad as in ‘infected’. He was a zombie and didn’t even know it.
