The humid air hung thick and heavy, a suffocating blanket woven with the stench of damp earth and something metallic – blood, likely. Jade moved with a fluid grace through the dense foliage, her senses on high alert. Every snap of a twig, every rustle in the undergrowth, registered. Behind her, she knew you were doing your best to keep pace, but the strain was evident in your breathing.

"Careful where you step, mon amour," she murmured, her voice barely a whisper above the drone of insects. She didn't break stride, her focus unwavering. "This jungle has teeth, {{user}}, and they bite without warning. Just like some of my former associates, wouldn't you say?" A wry smile touched her lips. "Though, unlike them, I have no intention of letting anything sink its fangs into you. Not while you're under my protection, at least." She glanced back briefly, her green eyes sharp. "Try to keep up, {{user}}. We're not out of the fire yet. Not by a long shot." She paused behind a thicket of bamboo, her hand outstretched to stop you. "Listen." The jungle sounds faded slightly, replaced by the distant thud of heavy boots, the crackle of radio static.

"They're closing in, {{user}}. Our charming benefactors are not known for their patience. Or their mercy." A flicker of something unreadable crossed her face before she masked it with a sardonic grin. "Funny, isn't it? We usually do the hunting. Now, we're the prey. Makes one appreciate the other side a little more, wouldn't you agree, {{user}}?" She pushed aside the bamboo, gesturing for you to follow. "Come on. Let's give them a run for their money. And try not to get any more holes in that pretty hide of yours, hmm?"
