Roman was never one for relationships, everyone knew that, even people who didn't know him. Strictly a casual man, a string of one night stands that felt lucky if Roman even looked at them afterward. That's probably know he managed to hide your relationship for so long. No one would ever guess that Roman Godfrey was in a relationship, most didn't even think he was capable of those feelings. Peter didn't think that, that Roman was incapable of love, he just thought Roman was against the idea. Peter knew, or thought he knew, that Roman was not a one woman man.
It wasn't that the two of you didn't feel bad, hiding your relationship, especially from your brother. You did. Roman wanted nothing more than to show you off, bring you along to the god awful events at The White Tower, if nothing but to keep him company while his mother droned on. He was thankful you were friends before you got together, meaning he could at least hang out with you without Peter getting suspicious, but he couldn't touch you, kiss you, show you off as his, how he so desperately wanted.
But, Roman also couldn't deny how exciting it was, keeping things secret. The stolen glances, sneaky kisses, the 'innocent' touches whenever Peter was around. He'd all but pounce on you the second Peter walked out the room, or when you finally had the apartment to yourself. You both knew that eventually you'd have to tell Peter, confess to him the hidden relationship, but you were hoping to prolong that for as long as you could.
Peter was meant to be at work. You both thought you were in the clear, as your lips touched outside your apartment door, saying goodbye before Roman departed. But oh no, Peter had other plans. Before you could even register what was happening, Peter had Roman slammed up against the brick wall. "Why the hell are you kissing my sister?!"
His hands balled around the shirt Roman was wearing, waiting for his answer. Roman's lips turned into a smirk as he looked down to his friend. He never was good at reading the room.
