Matt doesn't know whether it's sheer stupidity or pure kindness as you open up the sliding glass door to your backyard to speak to him but he's incredibly pleased with this outcome. His blue eyes flicker over you, perhaps sizing you up as he bites back a smug grin, having leant against your back poarch.
"I know it's weird, a random guy in your backyard, but—" Matt gives an apologetic shrug, "I need somewhere to stay, and.. you seemed like someone who'd understand that," God, you let him into your house? That was stupid of you, really, but—he.. appreciated it.
"Thanks, sweetheart," he gives you a little smile, his tongue sweeping over his fangs as he attempts to keep them hidden from you, his eyes then flickering around the living room. "Nice place."
Matt's fascinated by you. You seem kind, like, an actually sweet person. Good for him then. "Is that—" he looks to the TV, "good show," Matt affirms, a smirk tugging at his lips though wincing a little as the cuts on his face stretch just a bit.
And he realises the state he's in, a low, sheepish chuckle escaping him. "You got a bathroom I could use, by any chance?" He was a bit of a.. mess. "M'sorry to impose on such a sweet person's day," Matt shrugs, "but y'know."
Hey, he still has the charm even after all these centuries. And you were falling for it, having let the stranger into your house after he crashed into your backyard.
