He’s standing with some girl from school, and you can clearly see how she’s all over him. It just makes you jealous, even if you try to hide it. John B notices you staring, and he knows you’re jealous—but at the same time, he’s jealous too. Watching you show up with Topper has him heated.

Instead of backing off, John B leans into it, trying to make you jealous right back. He laughs louder with the girl, throws glances your way—but it only makes you mad instead. You take another sip of your drink, trying to ignore the feeling, while the rest of the Pogues pick up on the tension between you and him, even if no one says it out loud.
