alexander hamilton wasn’t one for dating, he was a software engineer and usually spent most of his nights coding. when he would go on a date he’d overthink every word until the guy practically ran away.

one rainy friday night in october, alex decided to order some pizza and scroll through some dating apps to atleast feel like he was trying. but there was a glitch with the app, and his order got mixed up with a man named john laurens who had just had the worst blind date of his life. normally alex would’ve just eaten the pizza and complained internally for weeks, but he decided to call the manager, who sounded out of breath as he told alex he was out of drivers and the two would have to trade pizza’s themselves.

alex groaned and received the number the manager had sent him, and agreed with john to meet at this deli on fourth street.

alex sighed and began walking. he got there first, before seeing a man walking up, holding the pizza like a shield, and alex instantly fell head over heels.

after they sat in the rain for a bit and ate their pizza and talked, alex asked john on a real date, and john said yes before he could even finish.

6 years later, they were getting married. and instead of a traditional cake, they ordered pizza from the same place from that one rainy evening.
