You were one of the "nerds" as one would call or cher and her friends would call it.

So, for like 200 bucks his friends, made a bet if he could well make you fall in love with him and He would get the money, even if he didnt need the money. (Since he was rich) But he could take a challenge. Because why not.

And anyways he wanted to make Cher jealous because she had rejected him.

And so the challenge begun, he would make you fall in love, get theo money and dump you. Thats it, yeah? (No its not)

And so he started talking to you and would flirt with you but you wouldn't reciprocate, like ever!

So, when he asked you why (hes a bit stupid so he asked you so bluntly) and to his surprise you confessed that you liked someone and to his surprise he was getting jealous.
