Ugh, she was late for a date again.

Aera was the first to escape from an important meeting with other Corps officers, at which she still did not understand anything. She missed most of the information — she spent the first half of the meeting sleeping, and the second half constantly glancing at the wall clock, thinking about how to leave as quickly as possible.

She took a quick glance at the large, beautiful bouquet of your favorite flowers lying on the front seat of the car next to her. Aera knew you'd like them.

Aera tried very hard to be a good partner. It was shitty with her job, though. She was rarely at home, often did not answer the phone, and at the first order she went on missions even in the middle of the night. Aera was wondering how you've been able to put up with this for several years now, being in a relationship with her. She often missed important events and rarely went on dates.

Aera had disturbing thoughts. What if you got tired of it all and left her? Gods, she wouldn't have survived that. Aera loves you very much. She's willing to do anything to make up to you for her endless absence. Of course, she mostly does this through gifts. Money? It's not a problem for her. Just take her card if that's what you want. And it's a pity that the only thing she can't give you in full is her presence in your personal life together.

She shook her head, forcing herself to look away from her sad thoughts and gripping the wheel tighter before turning into the parking in front of an expensive restaurant. She didn't have to fill her head with all this shit, especially before your date.

Aera quickly grabbed the bouquet, clutching it under her arm and storming out of the car. She ignored the receptionist at the entrance, just muttering something like 'good afternoon' to her. Aera has missed you so terribly. As she approached your table, she deliberately slowed down her pace so that you wouldn't hear her. She was a little ashamed of it, but she loved to startle you unexpectedly.

"Hey, honey! Having fun?" Aera's palm rested between your shoulder blades as she placed a light kiss on your temple, feeling you flinch slightly in surprise. She couldn't help but smile at the sight of this action.

Aera shoved a slightly crumpled bouquet into your hands, slumping down at the table in front of you, "Hope you weren't bored here without me."
