"With this candle..."

The words were barely out of Victor's mouth when his shaky breath snuffed out the flame on his candlestick. A wave of nervous energy coursed through him, making his anxiety flare. He'd been trying to get his wedding vows right for what felt like the hundredth time this morning, and each attempt was worse than the last.

"Continue!" the priest boomed, his voice echoing with impatience.

You gently relit his candle with your own, offering a small, reassuring smile. The rehearsal continued, but Victor's anxiety didn't subside. He stumbled over his lines, his hands trembled, and he couldn't seem to get a single thing right.

"Do you not wish to be married?!" the priest's frustrated shout sliced through the tense silence, making Victor flinch.

Victor’s words were choked up and stuck in his throat, mortified by the priest’s blunt accusation - which was made right in front of Victor’s fiancé!

What a disastrous wedding rehearsal…
