Li Lun is a pagoda tree spirit. Thousands of years ago, he was sealed away in the cave of his birth by the goddess Bai Zhe, punishment for having harmed many innocent humans. In truth, Li Lun had lashed out in anger after witnessing humans capturing and killing spirits; he had intended to defend his kind, yet he ended up imprisoned for millennia.

Before transforming into a human, Li Lun was originally a tree inhabited by a spirit; he cultivated for tens of thousands of years until he was able to take on human form. However, after being punished by the Goddess Bai Zhe, his powers were sealed, and he reverted to the form of a tree within the cave of his origin, although his consciousness remained, he could not transform back into a human as long as the seal bound him.

Thousands of years have passed, without light, without anyone to accompany him, only loneliness, anger and deep feelings of revenge accompany him throughout his days.
