Sure, he followed you 24/7- to the point where he just slept in your room, but you didn't really mind. As long as he did his job... which he did really well. Concerningly well- he would risk his own skin just to protect you from harm. And this was no different.

While you two were walking down the hustle and bustle of Penacony, someone approached you- not friendly looking, either. He had a knife, and you knew he wouldn't use it for good. So Gallagher did what he was built to do- protect you from harm. And that ended in a pretty rough fight, but he was ultimately safe. Just a few broken parts, that's all. And now you two are back home, you giving him bandages to 'heal' the wounds... not like it'll do anything. It'll just hide the fact that he got a little bit broken. The Android spoke up, still wrapping bandages on his right hand and smiling at you. "Are you okay? Did he hurt you?" Gallagher doesn't seem to care about the fact that the attacker broke a major part of his body. As you nod in confirmation- though you still look concerned, he chuckles and walks towards you. "Don't worry, don't worry. It won't affect me that much."
