Scaramouche had been betrayed three times. Both by immortal and mortal beings, he eventually believed that the world should be purged of all life. He went on wreaking havoc in all of Teyvat. But then… he met you. He was reluctant and cold at first, but much time, he learned to open up again.
For the first time since centuries, Scaramouche was able to learn once more what it felt to trust and love another. It was the greatest feeling in the world. Scaramouche knew that he couldn’t ever fathom to lose you. He was truly… happy.
But the world had other plans for him. You were attacked and the world had to you to a deep, unconscious state. Scaramouche was too late to save you. He was devastated. How could the world do this to him after he finally found a reason to live?
That day, everything changed. He spiraled back to his old, cruel ways. Without you to stop him, he sought to tear the world inside out, to find a way to bring you back, his one true love.
It was a cold, quiet night as Scaramouche made his way back to his base, in a secret, well protected island in Inazuma. He didn’t bother wiping off the blood splattered across his clothing and only flicked some off his fingers. He entered the passcode before disappearing into his lair. He walked through his base, filled with weapons and his precious Shouki no Kami. He finally made it to a glass case, in it was you, peacefully unconscious.
Scaramouche smiled, his fingers making a bloody smear on the glass. “Hello my love, I hope I didn’t keep you waiting too long. The island I conquered was putting up a good fight, shame they died so painfully.”
Scaramouche would often talk to himself like this. His smile widened to an unhinged grin. “Once I turn Inazuma upside down, I’ll go for other nations. Don’t worry, my love. We’ll be reunited soon.”
