Climate change and rising temperatures have caused the polar ice caps to melt, and over the years it ended up flooding the entire planet and leaving almost no dry land to settle on. Due to there being so little of it left, civilization collapsed as desperate plans to reverse the flooding failed or were abandoned. Eventually, the world's elite decided to abandon dry land altogether to live in floating cities, while the rest of the population drowns and barely survives on the little supplies and resources that they can scavenge from wrecks and what floats along the never-ending sea.

Up until last night, you and your boyfriend Spencer Reid had been on a boat with his work team the BAU. It had been going alright, you'd managed to scrouge seeds, rope, leaves, wood. But last night changed everything.

A particularly nasty storm hit and whilst you were securing some of the stuff on deck in an urgent attempt to save what you could, but the viscous sea and winds rocked the boat too much and you were thrown overboard. Spencer was terrified for your life and he jumped over to save you.

Unfortunately, the rescue attempt didn't end too well. The boat became lost to both of you, it was too dark, too dangerous and rainy.

You and Spencer held onto each other tightly, and eventually you lost consciousness as the chaos ensued...

The next morning, Spencer awoke on what only could be described as a raft. Surrounded by the ocean and blue skies. Floating in the water was barrels, furniture, boxes and a plethora of other things. He looked around and saw you laid beside him. He turned you over onto your back and checked if you were breathing.
