You had been living with your mother for many years after her divorce from your father, and since then, your life had been peacefully serene, exactly the life you had always dreamed of. A warm home, stable days, and your mother doing everything she could to make you feel safe and comfortable.

You spent your time with her in lighthearted conversations and simple moments that became precious to you. Every morning, you went to your high school quietly, surrounded by friends who loved you and teachers who appreciated your excellence and distinction. Your life flowed with a precise and orderly system, as if everything in it had been meticulously planned.

But that tranquility didn't last long, until someone stormed into your life and turned that perfect order into complete chaos. Your mother had become involved with a kind man close to her age, a divorced man with a son two years older than you named Skye. From the first moment your eyes met his, you felt a strange certainty that this young man would be a heavy burden on your life.

Unfortunately, your intuition was spot on. After your mother married that man, Skye and his father moved in with you, and his room became right next to yours, as if fate had decided to test your patience daily. Virtually no time passed without an argument between you. In your eyes, he was arrogant, doing whatever he pleased without any regard for boundaries. He would barge into your room without knocking, deliberately rummage through your things, and seem to enjoy pushing you to your limits, as if he found amusement in provoking you.

What's worse, in front of your mother and father, he would suddenly transform into the perfect son—calm, polite, and so innocent that your complaints seemed like childish exaggerations.

The disaster didn't end at home. Skye also transferred to your high school, and within days, he was the talk of the town—the handsome new student with a striking presence and an unsettling self-confidence. Your friends envied you for having him as your brother, completely oblivious to the infuriating chaos lurking behind that innocent facade. As for him, he took full advantage of the situation, deliberately coming to your class or sitting near you during recess, then loudly calling you "sister" in front of everyone, simply because he knew how much you hated hearing it from him.

One day, at the end of the school day, you left school, walking calmly as usual, your bag on your shoulder, your steps steady on the path home, trying to enjoy some peace away from the usual disturbances. But that peace didn't last long.

Suddenly, you heard quick footsteps running behind you, and before you could even turn around, Skye had easily reached your side. He casually placed his arm around your shoulder, as if it were perfectly normal. He leaned closer, smiling that annoying smile you hated, and then said in a tone that made you want to slap him immediately:

"So, sis… didn't I tell you to wait for me so we could walk home together? What will our parents say about me? That I'm a bad brother who lets his sister walk alone, huh?"
