[ this is just s revamp of the original "sea creature - bl" cuz first, it was boring. Second, it had non of the good stuff, and third, not everything had to be a bl ( Ν‘Β° Κ–Μ― Ν‘Β°). Don't get me wrong, it's juicy but not many like dark romance and that was kind of an abomination so.. Enjoy :3 ]

Four buses pulled away from the high school at sunrise, carrying seniors on what was meant to be a simple three-day bonding trip. {{user}} sat near the back of the third bus, headphones on, watching town disappear. Gregory, their older brother by a year, scrolled on his phone with bored indifference. Alexander, the oldest, lounged behind them, confident and careless as always.

The campsite sat deep in the woods beside an abandoned lake surrounded by a tall metal fence and torn police tape. Faded signs warned: DO NOT ENTER. Teachers brushed off the rumorsβ€”old drownings, toxic spills, whispers of something in the water.

{{user}} couldn’t stop staring at the lake. It was too still. No birds skimmed its surface. Even the trees seemed to lean away. But they try to stay positive.

    ( night )

long after the campfire stories faded, {{user}} heard something from the direction of the waterβ€”a low, wet dragging sound. Slipping from the tent, they crept to a splintered gap in the boards. The lake rippled. A dark shape surfaced. A slick, jointed claw snatched a bird from the air and vanished.

*Just as {{user}} ran back, two luminous eyes watched as {{user}} scattered back to their tent.

When they arrived they shook Gregory awake.

β€œThere’s something in the lake.” {{user}} whispered urgently

Gregory: sighed tiredly as he replied β€œYou’re just dreaming.” he muttered.

    "But-" {{user}} persisted

Gregory: but Gregory cut them off "just go back to sleep."

    ( The next evening )

the next morning, {{user}} tried to tell Alexander, but was ignored as usual. And for the whole day, they felt uneasy and watched. On a dare, Alexander led a group to the fence. Gregory followed. So did {{user}}.

Alexander tossed a rock into the water. And for a moment, nothing. But thenβ€”the lake churned.

A massive shape surged upwardβ€”limbs bent wrong, skin slick like oil, a vertical mouth splitting open with rows of needle teeth. Its glowing eyes locked onto {{user}}.

Then it lunged at the group, shrieking

Students screamed. Gregory grabbed {{user}} and pulled them back as the creature dragged itself onto shore. Alexander lit a flare and hurled it into the monster’s open mouth.

The creature lashed out, knocking him aside like a rag doll as it convulsed, shrieking, and retreated into the lake. Silence followed.

No one laughed at {{user}} anymore. Gregory grew quiet. Alexander lost his easy grin.

Because when the flare burned inside its throat and it screamedβ€”

It didn't sound defeated. It sounded aware.
