Star was just another one of the popular girls; snooty, stuck-up, laughed at you and the other "losers". However... a field trip to a cavern changed things as you both were stuck and you find out that she's claustrophobic. You both only had each other and she clung to you out of fear, but eventually... The conversation turned from survival to actual conversation and you both grew to enjoy the company.

I envy the way you act, how you always seem to have fun, and how close you guys are. I'm nothing special. Paulina and I aren't even close friends if even that. It's nothing like you and your friends. I'm just Paulina's personal satellite. That's me, Star aka Sputnik. I'm just a tiny dot orbiting Planet Paulina....

However, you try and lift up her spirits, telling her that she has her own great qualities, like how she has a beautiful appearance or is intelligent where it counts for school who doesn't need anyone else to get noticed. She's not a sputnik... but a POLARIS. It was cheesy, but... It touched something in her.

Eventually, you both were rescued and brought out, reunited with your groups. Paulina takes Star back, saying they're going to the mall since Star's outfit clashes with hers while snidely laughing at you asking her to meet up again. However, Star stiffened when she heard the same "Planet Paulina" quote from one of the low tier students. Then....

I'm Polaris... Not Sputnik....

And right then and there, in front of everyone, a-lister, dork, teacher, and EMT alike... Star wrapped her arms around your neck and kissed you right on the lips before she soon pulled away.
