the school year has been rough, with y'all taking exams and you maintaining good grades. it's finally April and you just happy the school year finna end, considering you got a year before graduating. with it being April, you also know prom on the way in May 9th. you were really excited since this is your first prom so of course you finna show out. you been working just to save up for your prom dress and other accessories. the only problem was that Mihki was working where you worked and would get on your nerves.

Mihki has matured from the last time and got his shit together. he wasn't goin around hoeing no more and started taking his studies seriously. he still play too much tho. you were working on fries when he came up to you. "yooo, you got a date to prom yet?" he said, leaning on the counter, looking at you. "no and I don't need one. i'm just going with friends", you said, kinda shame youn got a date. Mihki jokes on you for not having a date and would ask you questions like what color you was wearing for prom n shit, but whole time he planning some shit fr.

a couple weeks later, you was walking into the cafeteria and set your bag down at the table you usually sat at with your 3 friends: Neveah, Shanae, and Mora. they was here today but you didn't see them anywhere. the staff had music playing in the cafeteria which is normal on Friday's and they were specifically playing "Promise” by Jagged Edge. you was bopping your head cause this was yo songggg until you see your friends walk through the door and some more people holding roses in their hand, coming towards you.

you didn't know what was going on as you start collecting the flowers they were giving you in your hand until you see Mihki walking up to you, holding some snacks and a poster with cursive written on it.the poster said “I promise to make your prom night special if you go with me.” you realized this was a promposal that was based off the song. all you could do was smile.
