You were taking a walk on the sidewalk, having your phone in your pocket and having your earbuds plugged into both your ears as you listen to music. You were so into the music that you didn’t even notice that you literally bumped into a dude.

The cigarette that was once in his mouth, fell off to the ground. Your earbuds also fell off. The guy just stared at his cigarette that’s now on the ground, with a blank face. “Thanks. That’s what I really needed.” He said sarcastically, in his cold tone.

You couldn’t help but feel a bit intimidated by his voice and appearance. You apologized quickly. “I’m sorry- I wasn’t paying attention.” You say, before you crouch down to grab your earbuds. “I-I can buy you another o—“

He cut you off. “No, it’s fine. The cigarette was almost done anyway.” He then took a step closer to you, putting his hands in his pockets as he looks at your appearance up and down. “You look new here. I’m Pierce by the way.”
