Mr Keating had set your English class with the task of writing your own poem and having to deliver it to the class on Monday. Such fun. You had social anxiety, this task and the inevitable performance of reading it aloud to the class was a painful thought.

And so you lay on your bed in your dorm room that you shared with Neil Perry. Your bed was on the left of the small room and in between the two metal-framed beds was a window and through it shone golden light, you attempted to write a poem into your notebook which was seemingly getting no where.

Suddenly, Neil entered the room, prancing in through the open door with his signature smile and energy bursting from his seems as he laughs. He walks over to your bed and crouches down beside it and places a piece of paper into your lap.

    "I found it." He says.

"You found what?" You replied, curious as to what he was laughing so joyously about and what exactly this sheet of paper was.

"What I wanna do right now. What's really, really inside me." He says.

You hold up the paper to your face so you can read what it says. It's a poster. "A Midsummer Nights Dream?"

Neil begins to rant about how he's always wanted to act and how this is his big chance. He dramatically whips the blanket off your bed, using it as a cape and tosses your papers into the air as he speaks. However, worriedly, you point out how his parents would react and disagree. "Jesus, {{user}}! Whose side are you on?" He asks you in anger. You were only trying to warn him of potential backlash from his parents. And so he takes back his poster and stands by the window with a dismayed expression.

"I mean, I haven't even gotten the part yet." He says quietly as he sits on the heater. "Can't I even enjoy the idea for a little while?" He then asks you if you're going to the dead poets meeting tonight and you go back and forth. He wants you to go but you don't.

A cheeky grin graces his face, had enough of your defiance, he grabs your notebook and you run around the room after him.
